By accessing and using CoTale, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Use of Service

CoTale is a collaborative fiction writing platform. You may use our service to read, write, and share stories. You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

3. User Content & Copyright

You retain full ownership and copyright of the content you create on CoTale. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

By posting content, you grant CoTale an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, distribute, and promote your content on our platform and purely for the purpose of platform operations. You also grant CoTale the exclusive right to act as your commercial agent for potential third-party licensing opportunities (e.g., publishing, adaptation), subject to a separate revenue-sharing agreement.

To ensure the continuity of collaborative stories, content submitted to the platform cannot be revoked in a way that breaks existing story branches. You grant CoTale an irrevocable license to maintain your contributions as part of the collaborative work, even if you choose to leave the platform.

4. Intellectual Property

The CoTale platform, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by CoTale. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission. User-generated content remains the property of its respective creators, licensed to CoTale as described above.

5. Termination & Data Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your Personal Information will be permanently removed. However, to preserve story continuity, your submitted content will be retained and attributed to the 'CoTale Community'. By deleting your account, you waive any future rights to revenue or royalties from this content, which will revert to CoTale to support platform operations.
